Star Trek 55th Anniversary September 8?

Star Trek made it's debut on Thursday September 8, 1966 on NBC at 8:30.  However the show actually really had it's first showing on CTV two days earlier on Tuesday September 6, 1966 at 7:30pm.  Star Trek never really was a ratings hit on NBC and was much more popular in Canada on CTV.  TV columnist Bill Brioux from brioux.tv has an interesting take on why this was so.  https://brioux.tv/blog/2021/09/10/why-did-star-trek-start-two-days-earlier-in-canada-we-check-the-captains-log/

Fascinating paterson1.🖖😁
Star Trek, Supertramp, Genesis, Monty Python...lots of the British shows including Coronation Street, Canada has traditionally been a solid fan base for many artists, tv shows, rock bands etc years before the rest of North America woke up and caught on how talented they were...🇨🇦
