In 2002, veteran radio archivist Art Vuolo produced a documentary on the way New York City Radio handled the 9/11 attacks on that fateful September morning. He's updated the feature and has made it available online. It's almost 20 minutes long, moves as fast as the events of that day and features incredible aircheck moments from stations like WINS, WCBS-AM, WOR and Z100.
A fascinating snapshot, with great video, of one of the worst moments in recent history and how local radio in the Big Apple responded.
