Homecoming Concert on CNN Is Local and Live TV

A great night for television tonight with the CNN Homecoming Concert.  Those artists that got to perform before the weather interrupted everything were great.  Santana and Rob Thomas performing before thousands in Central Park, wow.  Earth Wind and Fire, sounding great with September.  Barry Manilow, bringing back great 70's memories...and then the rains came...

Whether the show starts up again or not, CNN has become a local NY cable channel right now and it is fantastic. Everything has gone out the window, everything is ad lib and everyone, hosts and artists are  make the best of a unfortunate situation, and best of all having fun.  I am sure those watching are enjoying the ride.  Taking phone calls, talking to Elvis Costello, Manilow and other performers on the phone, even artists jamming on the phone live.  Fantastic local TV...and this local channel is going around the world.    A great night for local TV... And proving once again...there is only one New York City, and New Yorkers are in a class by themselves.  The show may come back at 10pm if the lightening stops.
