Set top boxes big win for Bell Rogers et al.
The Federal Court has ruled in favor ot Bell Rogers et al. and awarded almost 30 million dollars (which they probably cant collect) against 2 companies and one individual.
Most likely a shot across the bow to others

As Calhame alluded to, I'm guessing that they are hoping the decision will scare off others; now that they have an actual court ruling that rejects the arguments of the vendors.

This will only drive business to non-resident sellers (i.e. eBay, Alibaba, etc.). The difference being you'll have to set it up yourself.

Seems a little heavy handed... I would have thought that Mr. Bibic could have at least reached out and at least invited Mr. Rafiq to discuss the matter over a beer or two....

I got my IPTV. As long as my IPTV remains untouched I am very happy.
I'll still pay for cable, but It sure is nice to be able to watch the American channel without a Sim Sub cutting in.
