Station Apologizes After Ransomware Attack Forces It Off Air

Remember when this happened at Durham Radio a little more than a year ago? Now a station in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin has been forced to apologize to its listeners after being forced off the air following a ransomware attack. It posted a fascinating letter on its website, trying to explain what happened and begging listeners to hang in.

Sadly, like so many of these things, it appears it's easier to pay the demand rather than start from scratch. Frankly, I'm amazed this doesn't happen more often.
