    Richards wanted desperately to be the host of TPIR...  but Bob Barker wasn't going anywhere back in the day...  so Richards hosted the travelling Vegas "lounge" version of TPIR at some of the casinos and hotels in Vegas.

    When Barker retired, Richards was trying for the host position....  didn't get it, but he ended up being co-exec producer of TPIR along side Jennifer Mullen...  a couple of years ago, the top job at Fremantle (Dismatle Media) came up...  both Richards and Mullen pursued the opportunity, with the nod going to Mullen.  So, Richards hopped over to Sony Pictures, and became Executive Producer of Jeopardy....

    Mike Richards new Jeopardy host? Meh. A perfectly competent choice showing absolutely no imagination. I'll watch anyhow, I guess.  

    Has anyone noticed the show is being dumbed down?  The questions/answers are definitely getting easier.

    Here's the Hollywood Reporter's take.
    Are they trying to bury Richards? Have ratings dropped off so that even bad publicity is better than nothing. Looking at some of the photos, the word "skeevy" comes to mind.

    "Mike Richards Job In Jeopardy" what else are they going to dig up?

    I'm waiting for his next apology.  LOL  There must be some group he's not yet offended.  Jeepers, this was the best Sony could do?
