a trend started showing up at radio stations in the late 80's that always irked me, a girl, usually "blonde", who didn't have a great brain, mesmerizing voice or sparkling personality for radio but managed to look okay poured into tight jeans, a push-up bra and low cut t-shirt would be given a legit on-air gig and then bore listeners with stultifyingly bland chatter and giggles.
