About 10 or 11 years ago I was talking on the phone to a guy I knew....a resident of New Jersey and I happened to mention their upcoming 4th of July celebration...wishing him a good day...
His reply...."you guys have 4th of July up there...???

Hahaha... and of course the answer is "Yes we do have the 4th of July up here... it's the day after July 3rd"

I'm just wondering why it that, since Adam Styles (from CityNews weather) is from the States, he wasn't creative enough to fiddle with his holiday/vacation time to figure a way to be absent on July fourth to go back to the States and enjoy the fourth of July with family etc...
I'm very surprised to see him in doing weather on CityNews today.
I think the Americans' 'understanding' of anything existing beyond their own specific borders has, hithertofore, been way, Way, WAY, *W A Y* beyond clearly established.
I'm not a fan.
