Bill Brioux asks what happened to the SCTV Reunion that Netflix was supposed to stream...

It appears there will be no second run for Second City.
Joe Flaherty: SCTV reunion DOA

This is a shame. Hopefully somebody will be able to show the reunion special at some point. Wonder how much of the program is completed, or possibly it is done? Music rights shouldn't be that expensive or a big a deal, especially with Netflix involved. They have a few bucks to throw around. CTV was original Canadian partner. They should take up the cause and run the special on CTV/Crave. If not them, maybe CBC/CBC Gem? CBC has some cred since they ran SCTV in prime time for three years, and were responsible for the creation of Bob and Doug MacKenzie's Great White North which was the most popular running skit. Eventually even NBC ran the segments and Bob and Doug became household names.. Originally Great White North and the MacKenzie brothers were only on CBC's prime time version of the show.

Speaking of music, do you remember the original ending theme of the show? (starts 31 seconds in)

So is it shelved or not? An editor for the Globe & Mail seems to contradict Joe Flaherty, in a war of the Tweets.
