It's called RadioEMS, and while it's hard to say if it will ever catch on, at least they have a targeted worldwide audience in mind - first responders, like paramedics, police and firefighters. It's based in Edmonton and started streaming its signal on May 1st. I have absolutely no idea what constitutes a format based on those hard-working people, but good luck to them.
According to a press release:
"The RadioEMS goal is to create and inspire a global connection for all Emergency Medical Responders. The station will do this by broadcasting music, information, and education, including a component of humor and fun. Bates wants RadioEMS to be a contributor to the EMS profession, while offering advertisers targeted marketing opportunities to those who influence the purchase of industry products and services."
And by the way, it's hardly official or real, but the station is calling itself "CHMS." You can tune in to hear their "siren song" here:

Hey? At the top it reads "CHMS". (
How is that possible when CHMS is a radio station in Bancroft Ontario?

It's a web based only station and doesn't have a licence. So, I'm guessing they took the "MS" out of "EMS" and just made it up.
