Memo To Funny 820: Pronunciation Counts

A couple of months ago, after Bell Media shut down several of its TSN sports stations and changed them to the automated (read: cheap) comedy format, they also introduced a male voice at the top of each segment introducing the comic.

I don't listen that often, but when I do, I too often hear this guy completely botch the last name of the stand-ups. Didn't he ask anyone how you pronounce their surnames? Because it's on such high repeat, these mangled names get aired over and over and over - and I'm assuming on more than just CHAM. To make matters worse, the extro at the end contains a backselled female voice who says it correctly.

It can't be very hard to fix this. But I'm guessing they won't. Lazy and just plain disinterest. Not that it sounds like they care.

Absolute waste of a fine frequency ...and there is nothing funny about that!

Disagree ..

Unlike most comedy channels, Funny820 isn't a steady stream of F-Bombs.
