You think they will pre-empt all their daytime programming for the entire trial?

I would be surprised if the big three broadcast networks did, but this is also one of the biggest civil rights cases in generations.

CHCH is running Green Acres, followed by the Beverly Hillbillies; now THAT's entertainment

As of now, the big three (at least on the west coast) are running regular programming - The Price is Right on CBS, Today on NBC, The View on ABC. Coverage remains live on CNN.

Agreed! It's tough to beat Arnold and Jethro!

The Detroit network affiliates have not been covering the trial so far, so regular programming. BBC World News Network does have live coverage like CNN and HLN. Canadian news channels, not covering live.

Everyone will pre-empt coverage when the guilty cop is slapped on the wrist with some bullcrap punishment and the riots begin...

This is reminding me a bit of the OJ Simpson trial, in terms of the amount of public attention it is getting (though obviously very different circumstances).
I recall back then that CNN covered that one live, and while the big 3 network affiliates didn't cover it live aside from the verdict, some other broadcast stations did carry it. Locally in LA, KTLA carried it live, and I remember at least parts of it being carried live on WJBK Detroit, which at the time had recently switched from CBS to FOX. WJBK didn't carry FOX's children's programming block which left them free to air whatever they wanted during the day.

NBC and ABC buffalo have begun a special report (7:05pm) to cover Harris & Biden's remarks.
