I'm not sure how many people get National Geographic Canada in their satellite or cable package, but those who do might want to look out for the latest "Genius" series. The Oldies Board reminds me that the new installment covers the life of Aretha Franklin, played by Oscar nominee Cynthia Erivo. Critics have had mixed reviews about the multi-part series, but all agree she pretty much nails the role.

Check your listings, but I believe parts 1 & 2 air at 9 and 10 PM.
