Short Range Radio "Station" Set Up At COVID Vaccine Site

There's nothing new about the technology, but a new extremely short range radio signal is broadcasting to people in their cars waiting to get a COVID vaccine shot in Regina. The "station" gives instructions about what to expect and other information about the virus.

An interesting idea, designed to answer questions about the jab and what happens after you get it, aimed at a captive audience. I wonder if anyone here will pick up the idea.

This radio channel is broadcasting information about vaccines

Re: Short Range Radio "Station" Set Up At COVID Vaccine Site

About a year ago, they started doing COVID testing in Ithaca, NY at a county-run site. Saga Communications donated the use of one of its FM translators to run a loop of information directing people to and through the test site. It kept running for at least a few months, but I think it's gone back to its previous format now. (It was an all-sports station, and there wasn't much sports to talk about in March 2020!)
