Best Funeral Music Ever!

Most of us can recall that great scene in The Big Chill where Jobeth Williams plays the organ in the opening scene, as the mourners leave the church....the Stones’ “You Can’t Always Get What You Want”.

Today I was watching Walter Gretzky’s funeral. Almost on cue, the same thing happened, but a different song.
It was the (old) Hockey Night in Canada Theme.  I couldn’t believe what I was hearing and did a quick replay on the PVR.  Yes, it was!     It only lasted a few seconds, but there it was.

Thanks CBC Newsworld.  This made my week if not the year to date.

Re: Best Funeral Music Ever!

Related trivia:   The Big Chill soundtrack (album) has just a snippet of the "You Can't Always Get What You Want" organ music, but not the actual song.   The Stones wouldn't allow it.    The remainder of the Big Chill soundtrack is intact in its entirety
