Familiar Toronto Radio & TV Pundit Dies

I don't think Fred Ketchen ever had his own show, but he appeared on plenty of them on local TV and radio. The business expert, who for many yeas was the chair of the Toronto Stock Exchange, didn't retire from that position until he was 77 years old. He was known as the "Dean of Bay St." and frequently appeared on CFRB and other media in the city offering his expertise.

Long before there was a Pattie Lovett-Reid there was a Fred Ketchen, explaining complex business deals in layman's terms. NT1010 says his daughter confirms he passed away this week. No cause of death or age was given.

If the name isn't familiar, maybe the face will be.
