A One Day One Of A Kind Retro Radio Special Online

I found this is in a column from a great radio writer named Richard Waggoner, who has regular pieces on the medium in various L.A. area newspapers. He talks about a Valentine's Day special that literally recreates an era in Top 40 radio that's long past.

A site called The Top 40 Hit Clock is airing back-to-back-to-back-to-back (and more) classic airchecks, like a radio station might if they had a superstar line-up. (The site streams classic 60s music the rest of the time and is worth a visit for its sound quality alone.)

Details of the Feb. 14th special are below, but remember the times cited are Pacific Time, so add three hours for those in Ontario.

"Head over to Top-40 Hot Clock at tinyurl.com/RW20721d starting at 9 AM Sunday. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the streaming service will feature great top-40 radio from the past in a 10-hour special.

It starts with Jumpin’ George Oxford from KSAN/San Francisco and includes many others such as KGFJ’s Hunter Hancock from 1959 at 11:53 AM, B. Mitchell Reed from WMCA/New York in 1953 at 2:51, Robert W Morgan and The Real Don Steele from KHJ 1965 at 4:15 PM, and Dr. Don Rose at WQVI/Atlanta from 1967  wrapping up the special at 5:47 p.m."
