Versatile actor Christopher Plummer who at 81 was the oldest person to win an Oscar passed away this morning.  Equally comfortable playing a leading man or character role, Plummer continued to work right up until 2020.  More from Variety...

Re: Christopher Plummer Passes at 91

Plummer's professional acting career started over 70 years ago in 1948.  He was the winner of two Tony Awards, an Emmy and Oscar.  I believe his final role was in Global TV's Departure which was renewed for a second season.  Production on the second season began last September, so he will be in the upcoming six episodes.

He was given much credit and respect in 2018 when at the last minute the director of the movie All The Money edited out  the scenes with Kevin Spacey, because of his sexual assault charges.  Plummer was called in to reshoot all of Spacey's scenes which he played the role of J. Paul Getty.  This was an important part of the movie and everything was completed in two weeks.

Re: Christopher Plummer Passes at 91

"Christopher Plummer once more stepping in to fill a role that should've gone to Kevin Spacey." tweeted Joe from Chicago today.

On a positive note, I was happy to see Justin Trudeau's lengthy tweet honouring Mr. Plummer, and not at all surprised to see John Tory's tweet mention that the actor was originally from Toronto.
