This won't ensure the current pandemic won't effect the games or athletes, but it may ensure a green light go writes Morgan Campbell of CBC Sports, now, he is cautious about the risks of this happening this summer, but he feels based on previous sports having taken place this year, that it might be possible to host. (maybe without the crowds)...
Here is more on this story...if I was a broadcaster, my feeling is the price tag is really steep and I would want assurances of some big time ROI.

The Olympics get great ratings, both summer and winter. And because they have been delayed and with lack of regular programming, they could be record setting next time around.

Who says it'll be Tokyo? How about Florida instead? & Does that change the price?
(NBC would LOVE Florida for easier access to live events, maybe?)

In the US 25 or 30 million people watch the opening ceremonies usually. They often get a 30 or 40 share during the competition. Those are monster numbers.
