Q Regional Network for the Maritimes

Relative new kid on the block Stingray has announced the Q Network in the Maritimes.  Q stations will have a combination of network programming and local.  Regional programming in the morning and evening, local talent mid morning and afternoon.  More from Broadcast Dialogue...

Relevant local content during the workday when the station is in the background but not during the morning commute.  Brilliant.

This trend of non-local programming during morning drive makes no sense to me. Rogers did the same thing with its stations in Northern Ontario, and I believe Corus has done this as well on a couple stations.
