Hamilton Morning Man Reflects On 20 Yrs. On Air - & The CHCH Debacle

Some interesting stuff here in The Bay Observer from the longtime market-leading morning man at CKLH-FM in Hamilton and the former weather guy at the now moribund CHCH.

A few choice excerpts:

“I always thought the radio job was less stable than the TV, I always figured that I would be able to say goodbye on CHCH one day after deciding it was time to pack it in.”

“I walked out the door and I said ‘there’s 33 years that meant absolutely nothing’, and I went home and I started drinking."

"There are stories that lead a newscast today that back in 1982 when I started would never have been a lead story.”

Thanks for posting that RA...

I always enjoyed Matts'  happy-go-lucky on-air persona...

And although I did not work with him I did spend some work time with his sister Maria...

Talented family...
