C'mon Old Codger...look on the positive and bright side of the street will ya' ??

8 jobs are going to be opened up...and my wife wants to move back to London...

Hmmm....

Should I dust off the headphones and put my name in the mix ??

An old old pal....Gary Ennett is currently working at the C.B.C.'s  London bureau...he drops in on the hour and half-hour with local London  morning news...

He got an early start in broadcasting too...I was 18 and Gary was 17 and I as doing morning news and he was doing the sports...and I pointed this out to our  dj....who was 35....who just shook his head....quite funny as you might imagine !!

Wait a minute! You can't go to London. Who's going to do mornings at AM 1220?

Re: CBC radio to expand into London

CBC in London already produces a regional morning show that airs in an odd combo of markets. Wonder what will become of it?

Your extensive fan club membership assumes you two go together like Harley & Davidson

Re: CBC radio to expand into London

Work is over-rated...especially 5 or 6 days a week worth...'cause that's not beyond being expected by today's bean-counters as it was back in the early 70s.

The thing is I do nap...and play golf...and hang out in establishments which cater to those running a thirst.  Then there's the lawn.

And something I'm NOT thirsty for?  Working  F O R  dink-heads.  I'd rather cut the grass.

Ontario Morning is broadcast  in London with news inserts out of London on the half hour.  The show is actually produced and originates out of Toronto.  Jennifer McGuire, the CBC management person, that was talking about it on the drive show indicated that there would be a revamp of that morning show.  According the Ontario Morning webpage it is heard on the following:

Bancroft 600 AM
Brockville 91.9 FM
Cornwall 95.5 FM
Deep River 97.9 FM
Haliburton 92.3 FM
Huntsville 94.3 FM
Kingston 107.5 FM
Maynooth 89.3 FM
Midland 89.7 FM
Muskoka 94.3 FM
Orillia 91.5 FM
Owen Sound 98.7 FM
Parry Sound 89.9 FM
Pembroke 92.5 FM
Peterborough 98.7 FM
Shelburne 102.5 FM
Whitney 98.5 FM
Wiarton 98.7 FM
Wingham 100.9 FM

Kingston and Peterborough would now be the largest centres served by Ontario Morning.

Re: CBC radio to expand into London

Ah, thanks for the clarification. It certainly sounds London-centric, so I assumed....
