Dad and I used to listen to him while I was living in Michigan going to broadcasting school at Specs Howard. Radio personality Alan Almond, host of the long-running "Pillow Talk" evening show on WNIC-FM (100.3), has died.A supervisor with the Beverly Hills Public Safety Department said a family member discovered Almond's body Tuesday inside his home on Birwood Street. The supervisor said it's believed Almond, 68, died of a heart attack.
"Pillow Talk" became a signature show on the FM radio dial, running from the 1970s into the 1990s. Almond was known for his smooth voice, along with his passion for love songs and candlelight. Adding to his mystique is the fact he was rarely, if ever, photographed.
