Long overdue for the ex-CKLW music magician. Sad to hear she's not well and couldn't be there.
Rock royalty honour Windsor radio queen Rosalie Trombley at Juno gala
Rosalie was as important as anyone to the successes of the 'big ate'. To HAVE to compete with a weighted maple leaf hanging from your neck meant you had to MINE the best the country had to offer and, if need be, flip A sides over or find lp tracks which worked better. She set the standard before the 'regs' and just kept it coming after those %s and the ensuing 'poop' hit the fan.
Rosalie did that so consistently that she was the runaway best at it in Canada and maybe N America. Rosalie is my proof for the argument I've always made...you HAVE to select the music you play with your EARS...and NEVER your eyes.
'Charts' are a guideline ONLY. Otherwise they're strictly for use by the amateurs. [who sadly dominate the business]
