Mississauga News' Odd Choices For "Best Radio Station"
Every year, many of the Metroland newspapers - those local publications that come to your door free of charge - do a "Reader's Choice" survey, designed to pick a favourite local restaurant, business or other service. I stumbled on this year's choices for "Favourite Radio Station" and I have to admit they're not quite the ones I would have expected.
The limited ones offered for best station:
-CHFI
-Classical 96.3
-Indie88
and last but certainly not least
-Sauga 960.
Quite the eclectic list. I wonder how they were chosen.

They probably put in those stations to get the category going or these particular stations have already been nominated by some readers . They wouldn't list all of the radio stations in the GTA unless they all had been nominated by someone. There is room at the bottom for readers to nominate another choice or station until July 29th. These are just nominations, the real voting for favourites comes later.

And when it comes time to vote for the favourite in the various categories, they likely will only list the top 5-10 stations who received the most nominations. One or two votes likely won't get you in the final nominations list.
