News Talk 1010

I hear they have organized and are now part of Unifor.

Has anyone else heard this?

If at all true, it wouldn't be a CFRB stand alone decision.
I thought all Bell media employees were already Unionized...?

The majority of Bell Media's conventional TV stations are unionized, but very few radio stations are.  Bell's radio stations in Halifax, Montreal, Kitchener, Windsor, and Winnipeg are the only ones I know of.

Given that this is just 16  members of 1010's staff, I have to think they're those whose duties cross over to the TV side.

Looks like it's the show producers & technical producers. Aaron, I'd bet the TV cross over people you speak of were already unionized (CP24, CFTO, etc).
