Cal was the Shake, Ricky the Bake

I was wondering if TSN or Sportsnet would start showing the occasional movie to help fill out the schedule.  Tonight TSN3 featured the always entertaining Talladega Nights.  And a pleasant surprise the movie was shown with few commercials or breaks.  Commercial breaks were only 30 seconds long and then about 15- 20 minutes of the movie with no breaks.

TSN has also been trying not to show the same programming at the same time on their 5 channels. This evening when the movie was on TSN3 they had separate programming on four of the five channels.  I have noticed since the pandemic Sportsnet has been showing a fair bit of the same programming at the same time across their different channels.

The Golf Channel for years has featured sport or golf related movies from time to time in the off season.

The MLB channel also airs baseball themed movies occasionally.

Guess it was only fitting that TSN would show a Will Farrell movie.  After all Ron Burgundy has been a guest commentator on the network a few times...
