Alan Cross picks a Top 10 of radio, although I can't believe he left out "FM" by Steely Dan. (True, it doesn't mention a particular station, but not all of his picks do, either.)
In fact, given how vital radio was in spreading rock and roll, I find it hard to believe there are so few songs about the medium overall in the music.
Ten songs about real-life radio stations and DJs, as picked by Alan Cross

No love for WOLD, which was about former WYSL jock Jim Connors? How about "Texas Radio" by the Doors? Still, a good list overall.

At that rate, why not add in the Reunion Life is a rock...but the radio rolled me.

What about Radar Love by Golden Earing...they refer to the radio playing a forgotten song, Brenda Lee coming on strong...
Plus it is a classic song too!
