Imagine being fired from your morning show because you violated the rules over “COVID-19 lockdown” and "urgent travel." That’s what one veteran host in New Zealand claims happened when he went to take food to his isolated family, along with medicine for the family’s 14-year-old dog.
The outlet involved, called The Breeze, will only say that Dave Dunlay is “no longer with the station.”
But after a few day’s silence, Dunlay took to Facebook to give his side of the story. And what a story it is.
You can read more about it here, but I wonder if this is the only case of a radio personality being fired for not keep his distance - or if that's really what happened. I suspect there's a lot more to this story than we're being told from both sides.
