After only six months in Edmonton, Brooke and Jubal the imported Seattle morning show is leaving 92.5 CHUCK. Apparently the last show was on Friday. CHUCK is promoting that something new is coming soon. This station has gone through a lot of format changes over the years, so no idea if something new is another format change in addition to a new morning show.
Corus also runs Brooke and Jubal in Ottawa on JUMP-FM. They have been on the station for a few years, but so far to soft ratings and are well behind their main competition on the locally produced "Morning Hot Tub"with Mauler, Rush and Jenni on Hot 89.9. Naturally Brooke and Jubal's show has no local Ottawa content where the competition on Hot 89.9 has lots.
Does anyone know if FLOW in Toronto still has plans to run the imported Breakfast Club which they put on hold last month? Still nothing on their website about the new show.

Imagine if they turned CHUCK to POWER? Well that's probably what's going to happen, since they made such a stink over another station using the brand.
Very good point kman! It would make sense. And from what I have heard, "The CHUCK" better do something since they have been sinking like a rock in Edmonton.

Up from the previous show though. It's probably been a worthwhile hail mary against the seemingly impenetrable HOT morning show.
B&J never fit on CHUCK. It just can't work on a format other than CHR, or perhaps a younger-skewed Country station.

Brooke (and now Jeffery) may be up a bit from the previous JUMP morning shows worst book but certainly they and the station don't appear to be going anywhere fast. I would imagine right now and for the past 5 or 6 weeks Brooke and Jeffery likely sound even more disconnected from the city since they can't say anything local regarding COVID or the situation in Ottawa. Yes I know people can get the information from many other sources but being totally generic at a time like this on a morning show in a great radio town like Ottawa doesn't cut it. I would bet that their morning ratings right now have slid, and even further behind the ever popular Hot 89.9. Sounds like FLOW in Toronto have put off their new syndicated show until further notice.

It was still Brooke and Jubal until last week.
In the entire history of JUMP, previous shows averaged in 25-54 a 3.6 while B&J averaged 4.7. In 18-49 it's been 4.4 to 5.4. The trends for the other dayparts on the station went the other direction.
I'm not arguing the power of local, but it's not always a guarantee. B&J spent several years at the top of the Chicago ratings.
And still, neither Mauler and Rush nor Blake and Kash are spending much time at all talking about local COVID info. Both shows have continued focusing on being entertaining as an escape. Nobody's going to CHR for local news.
