If you were a reader of MAD Magazine in its heydays of the 60s or 70s, you certainly know the work of the great Mort Drucker. The artist did wicked impressions of celebrities and of course drew hundreds of Alfred E. Newman covers over the years. It's unclear if he passed from COVID-19, but he developed sudden breathing problems and passed away at 91.
It literally 'draws' a great career - and a huge part of my childhood - to a close.
