J.J. Clarke (believed to be) gone from Bell's CJOH/CTV Ottawa
From a fellow Ottawa broadcaster this morning... long-time Ottawa radio & TV host J.J. Clarke (real name Ron Rowat... native of Shawville, Quebec, my spouse's hometown) might be out at Bell Media Ottawa, including CJOH/CTV. Those of you in the GTA and other areas outside of the National Capital Region probably know/knew Clarke for filling in on weather on Canada AM for many years. A recent post on Rowat's Facebook timeline shows someone, probably "J.J." himself, giving the finger to a Bell repair truck. One person who is Facebook friends with Rowat suggested he has been in a legal battle with one of his big bosses at Bell, if Rowat's Facebook posts have been any indication.

He disappeared once before for a few months with no explanation from Bell. It led to quite a bit of on-line speculation some of which bordered on slander, imo. .Still nothing from Bell. He reappeared looking gaunt and ill. His voice was thready to put it kindly. And now he's gone again still without a peep from Bell. Very poor form.

The Milkman is reporting JJ is not with CTV Ottawa.
