I can't say I've ever heard of Gary McColman or Wayne Mathews, although both have put more than 50 years into the radio biz. They've been hosting the morning show on Rogers' CKXC-FM, aka Country 93.5, in Kingston for the past 16 years. But they won't be there on Monday. Both are leaving the biz at the same time, after their final broadcast on Friday.
Longtime radio hosts sign off for final time

We live in a bit of a media bubble in Toronto, but there are hosts across the Province and country that do excellent work...okay some do sound a little "raw" but for the most part, you could put a radio host in an market, small to medium to large and they could probably hold their own.
Good luck to these two...I wonder what they will do next? My sense is they will keep a hand in something media or music related...
