Longtime CTV Newsman Craig Oliver Retiring At 81

He's one of Canada's oldest and longest serving TV news people. His longevity in a visual medium like TV is amazing, considering he's been legally blind for decades.

Craig Oliver to retire after four decades with CTV

Re: Longtime CTV Newsman Craig Oliver Retiring At 81

Wow, I didn't know he was legally blind, Evan Solomon has done a good job filling his shoes, and still having him (Craig) be a part of the show...

I wish Craig well and this is another in a long line of TV people we grew up with riding off into the sunset...you miss them and I wonder too who will fill their shoes...it's never the same as the "individual" personality and contribution these personalities make and made... (Ken Shaw, Roger Ashby, Mike Cooper, Bob Cole, Peter Mansbridge all come to mind)...

Thanks for sharing RA and Merry Christmas or as Merry as it can be given what you've gone through recently, at least make it a Happy, Healthy and abundant New Year!

The Big Yella is in good shape because of you!

Cheers!

The world would be so good if it weren't for some people...
