AM640 Toronto - Mike Stafford
Hello Everyone,
Does anyone know what's going on with Mike Stafford? He was on vacation 3 weeks ago and has been "Sick" for the last two weeks.
Anyone know anything?

Sick. Down for the count apparently. Hope he'll be better soon. So much for those weekend trips to Brazil ;).

According to his (Stafford's personal) twitter feed, he, his wife and Tina T. have been fallen by a nasty bug.
I have heard of some nasty stuff going around these past few months that just totally flattens you.
Lawton was very good, indeed, but a little too deep for the late morning. Some of his AM980 stuff on soundcloud seemed much lighter. But I'll bet he'd work well doing afternoon drive. Hmmm...

The thing to remember is that it's not just radio. It's talk radio.
You really need a voice to do talk radio.
Sounding like a frog or worse, not even having much of a voice just makes it impossible to do.

I like that idea. The Global morning show host could then commit all of his efforts to TV. Works for me.
