In their Speech from the Throne on Thursday (I always picture someone making big pronouncements from a toilet seat) the Liberals pledged to cut cell phone and wireless bills by 25%. 

Hmm, where have we heard this kind of thing before? Oh yeah, the government-forced $25 skinny basic cable package that was made so deliberately bad, almost no one decided to take it. 

They've also promised to reveal the truth behind UFOs and unveil where Bigfoot really lives. In fact, those last two are more realistic than this promise. 

We all know from experience that even if they were to manage this impossible feat, the greedmongers at Bell & Rogers would simply figure out how to charge you more for something else, negating any savings.

Like so many things out of the mouths of politicos, it's easier said than ever actually done. I don't believe a word they say.
