The last Morse code maritime radio station in North America

Not exactly a "broadcast" radio story and certainly not local, but I found the 4 minute-plus video that accompanies this TV newsroom piece kind of interesting. It's a flashback to an era before satellites and the Internet that's now long gone - although I have to admit that teletype machine sure brings back memories.

Beyond SOS, I couldn't send Morse today if my life depended on it, however I remember the hours spent learning the Code;  as one of the required benchmarks to pass my Canadian Forces Comm. training back in the '70s.
