How did CFCO in Chatham get it's call letters? Read on, read on

I found this article online and it shows you that radio when it first began was really about the love of the medium and those that began many of the radio stations had vision, passion and a sense of service and community.

This is something that is sorely lacking in this day and age of the big conglomerates...radio has lost it's soul, it's vision and even of being of service to the very community it broadcasts in.

I encourage you to read this article about Jack Beardall, founder of CFCO in Chatham and it serves as a good reminder that for radio to truly succeed it must be true to it's vision, to those it serves, and be a friend so to speak for those that listen.

If you ignore the true mission of broadcasting, or the heart and soul of it...then you do so at your own peril...

Here is the link...it is a short read, but it acts as a good reminder of what good broadcasting is all about...

The world would be so good if it weren't for some people...
