Is This The Best Thanksgiving TV Episode Ever?

The argument is made in the article below that it's the "Turkeys Away" episode of WKRP In Cincinnati. And despite nearly every sitcom doing at least one holiday episode every year, there's an argument to be made this one is, in fact, the greatest of all time.

It comes up because Thursday is Thanksgiving Day in the U,S.

WKRP in Cincinnati’s ‘Turkeys Away’ Is Still the Best Thanksgiving Episode Ever

Actually, it was Vulture that brought it up. I just thought it would be interesting to some here. Sorry you didn't agree.

Thank you Glen.  About a minute in,  I remembered this and it still makes me laugh.

Carson was unique;  especially his one on one segments with Doc, Ed or Tommy.

And I'll second that. Great article about a classic show.

Whatever you say or do on this site is alright with me RA.  I have the box set of WKRP.  Not all episodes (in my mind) stand up; but most do.  For those of us who have been around for awhile we all tend to agree we all worked with all of those characters at one time or another : >)

It's a given that any sitcom based on an actual profession, will "exaggerate and/or ignore the daily reality",  if deemed necessary for a good script.

Having said that,  your comment inspires me (as a fan of WKRP, with no radio background myself) to finally ask a question that has lingered in the back of my mind for some time... how accurate do the radio veterans on this board  assess the show's depiction of the industry back in the era it was filmed?
