As I've been told for a very long time. If you don't like the music or the format....just hit the button and move on. It's that simple. No one is forcing you to listen to Christmas Music if you don't like it.

I've always been weary, in markets with so many similarly formatted stations, that those OFF clicks could be lasting. How many tepid CHFI listeners discover that CHUM 104.5 or Boom 97.3 sure are appealing these days?
CHFI isn't my cup of tea regardless what season they are celebrating. But, just like I toggle between professional talker NT1010 and amateur-hour over at GNR640, I would demand my workplace switch away from endless Satan Muzak to find something that won't force me to take an axe and randomly throw it at co-workers.

Maybe CHFI should copy Star 102 Buffalo...they offer a link to regular Star 102 music online while the FM side continues with all Christmas music...they mention "Click on the Scrooge for regular Star 102 music" lol

Where is the station for "you people" this holiday season? I'm here for the milk and honey. I'm here for da music.

Star 102.5 in Buffalo has been all Christmas since Nov. 1st. Promising to play Xmas tunes "102.5%" of the time, the onslaught of Yule-fueled gruel is sponsored by a liquor outlet store. That seems only appropriate, because listening to this for more than two straight months would be enough to drive anyone to drink!
Still, whatever your feeling about it, it seems to work year after year after year. My condolences to the jocks and on-air talent who have to sell this to their listeners.

Hobbyists or town councils that want to bring more radio service to their communities. The originating station have nothing to do with it, other than shrugging their shoulders and saying "Sure...why not?"
