I'm a big fan of the "History of Canadian Broadcasting" website, which outlines the sometimes long and changing past of all of this country's radio stations. But in a paragraph at the end of one of those outlines, and on its homepage, I read this, effective as of this month. 

"The story continues elsewhere...

"As of September 1st 2019, we will only be adding new material to these station histories in exceptional circumstances. Our intent to chronicle the early days of these radio and television stations has been achieved, and many new sources and technologies, from the CRTC website to Wikipedia, are now regularly providing new information in these areas."

It's sad to think the history of some great stations will stop being tracked as of this month, but at least the extensive research provided at the site isn't going anywhere. R.I.P.  H.C.B.
