He's been gone a long time, but those who hold the rights to the old Wolfman Jack show are convinced there's still life in the radio veteran. After years of syndicating his oldies shows, the owners have come up with a new format for the late Bob Smith's talents - and it involves playing distinctly non-Wolfman-like songs by U2, Green Day, Billy Idol and more.

When Don Daynard left CKFM for CHFI, Gary Slaight had me take over Looking Back. On one of those occasions Wolfman came in to cohost a live remote of the show. We did it at a club around Mt. Pleasant & Eglinton. Can’t remember the name of the club. Maureen Holloway who worked at CKFM at the time was there as well. Wolfman was a lot of fun and of course a hero of mine.
