    640 Doesn't Appear To Consider CKNT Competition

    I found it interesting that Karlene Nation appeared on "Topics Worthy Of Discussion" panel on 640 Friday afternoon. The former CTV reporter now hosts "Media Nation" five days a week on CKNT 960 out of Mississauga.

    Yet there she was opining openly on the Corus Toronto outlet. I can't imagine a host of another show on another station being invited to appear on a segment that's broadcast in virtually the same market. (Can you imagine say, Jon Pole, being asked to appear on GNR?) 

    I can only conclude that they don't consider Sauga 960 as any kind of competition. I wonder where the bar is.

    Who cares about stations that don't pay to be in the book.

    GNR 640 has a 1.5 share. Is it possible CKNT doesn't consider them competition?

    The show producer who invited her on may not even know Saugua 960 exists.
