Having said that, whatever happened to having everything on delay or just pre-recording them?  If the broadcaster never allowed this to air, one could argue these things would never happen in the first place.

You may be right. I don't know if there is anything criminal going on. It was just rather uncooth.

Upon reflection, while criminal charges may not be warranted, a financial penalty might be more appropriate. 

His employer might have an opinion of his newly revealed demeanor.

Likewise, the subject of his comment might take him to task and Sue for defamation. I'm sure a hefty lawsuit, win or lose, will make him and others think twice.

Either way, I still think he's a dick.
