    Classic CFNY & CHFI Commercials

    Going through my old VHS tapes and came across these classic ads from 1994.
    Note that the CHFI ad for Davis and Daynard features Richard Sanders in his Les Nessman character.

    I can remember, years ago(1995, I think), that CFNY and WEDG in Buffalo were involved in quite the kerfuffle over both stations' use of the words "Edge" in their positioners(WEDG had switched from AOR WUFX(103.3 the Fox)to alternative). So leave it to CFNY to put an ad together that covered over the word Edge and with the commercial's last words being "102.1 the (bleep)."

    Prompted me to go looking at the Energy 108 Promotional Video from 1996.  It really is amazing how big this thing got.  It was more of a culture really.  Could this not not have morphed into something using modern-day EDM though?
