Federal budget includes a little something, something for the Press
I am not sure it is good for free speech and non-partisan politics and reporting of politics when the Federal government is helping the struggling journalism sector with some money to help them survive...
I am not sure that trying to revive an industry that is struggling is such a wise investment either.
But, heck let's not mention the SNC Lavalin affair...because this government is about to help a dying quail in tomorrow's budget...
My sense is as much as the industry needs the help, throwing money at it is not a good investment. Coming up with new ideas and strategies to help it thrive and adapt to the times we are in, is a good investment.
