Venezuela is a hot mess right now and has been for several years as residents flee to Peru and other neighbouring countries to avoid economic collapse. A new regime is in place, but the tensions still mount as two American media (Journalists) have been arrested.
If you ran a paper, or larger media outlet, do you send your people to these "hot" spots?
What kind of back up and legal help do you offer if like in this case, your people get arrested or kidnapped?

Most of the networks have been sending their people to nearby Colombia, where the bulk of the refugees are going. Only a few reporters have made it into Venezuela, and like being a Canadian in China, that can be a dangerous place to be.
