Managing the stress of working in the news room

I recall listening to CFNY back in the day, when Mary Ellen Beninger shared a story on her morning newscast as to how people that worked in the news rooms of radio, T.V. and print would live shorter lives due to stress.

Wow, good thing I got into sales, then, I thought...

Here is an article that helps you manage your stress if you are working in the newsroom, mind you newsrooms aren't these big departments that they were back in the late 80's and early 90's when I began my media career, but still there is stress of putting together your newscast and also if you're editing content (especially video) with some disturbing images (think of war torn countries or the harrowing journey out of Syria a few years ago) and the job can get to you!

Here is a link to how to manage the stress for you who have been in the news rooms of a media outlet.

Cheers!
