You might have thought the Toronto Star and the CBC would see eye-to-eye on most things. But apparently not one of its opinion columnists, Rick Salutin.
In a sometimes hilarious and often surprising article on the paper's website, he condemns its all news outlet's seeming fascination with everything Trump and America, and confesses in something akin to Canadian blasphemy that he doesn't much like Murdoch Mysteries.
"I think Canadians instinctively recognize the existential necessity of our institutions. It’s why they say they support the CBC as long as they don’t have to watch it."
Why we can’t afford to ignore stupidity at the CBC

Well "all that bomb stuff" was covered by most Canadian outlets not just the CBC. The bomb sniffing dogs and evacuations were scary. The person responsible has apparently been caught. A registered republican and I think his truck was plastered with MAGA stuff. Rush L and other members of the right wing echo chamber said "false flag" and republicans don't do things like this. Studies on domestic terrorism in the US point out that the vast majority of such incidents are by extreme right wingers or neo-fascists. The both siderisms are ridiculous when the party has a leader that routinely praises violence against the media.
