CFFF-FM in Peterborough started life as a campus station at Trent University. According to the linked article, the outlet - co-founded by former MuchMusic V.J. Christopher Ward - has since morphed into something else, where almost anyone in the community who wants to do a show will find the airtime.

An all too often underappreciated tasking, that RA does very well!

I apologize - in this post the snark was not appropriate. Most well-run college stations welcome enthusiastic locals who are interested in broadcasting (particularly over the summer when most students are off). This is a good thing, as are college stations in general.
